Employee Appreciation Day gives us an opportunity to look at how PGS Worldwide shows our appreciation to our contractors. One way that we show how much we value our workforce is through our tradition of the PGS challenge coin. After being on contract with PGS for 30 days, contractors receive a special talisman from us that honors their contributions to our elite team. We’re proud to have a national network of hardworking contractors leveraging their expertise to support mission-critical assignments from our industry-leading clients.
Challenge coins have been an established tradition in the military for well over a century, bestowed upon soldiers that go above and beyond the call of duty. These coins are meant to “instill unit pride, improve esprit de corps and reward hard work and excellence.” The key to this tradition is unity: every member of PGS Worldwide plays a crucial role in our success, and we strive to honor that. While we don’t get to give our contractors their challenge coins via secret handshake, as is customary, the challenge coin remains a source of pride for all PGS employees.
As a Veteran Founded organization known for placing transitioning military and veteran members into roles in the civilian sector, we think the challenge coin is an especially appropriate token of our gratitude for all our contractors do. We appreciate your contribution to the success of our organization and of the Aerospace/Defense industry – today and every day.
Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions. All of our jobs are military-friendly, and we work with leaders in Aerospace who rely on your military expertise to support mission-critical programs nationwide. We know that the military has given you the skills and training you need to succeed in positions like this, and we want to support your success in the civilian sector however we can. We thank you for your service, and humbly offer our own in return by helping you take your career to the next level.
